Limo Etiquette Know the Rules When Renting a Limo

Category: Cars - December 29, 2008

Perhaps you are considering renting a limo for a night out with your friends and are looking forward to having a great time together. So, are there rules that you and your buds have to abide by while you are being squired around town in the back of your limousine?

The Rules of the Road

OK. So you have already seen plenty of rap videos that were shot using limousines. Perhaps these videos and what you have seen transpiring in them have given you the bright idea that it’s a free for all in the back while the driver takes care of the driving duties.

It’s Your Drivers Limo

So you have your guns and your blunts all ready to blaze and maybe you might even have the driver swing by your hood so you can pull a drive by. Why not? Hes rolling on your dime and isn’t that the way they roll in the videos that you saw?

A Limousine is a Moving Vehicle

The fact, is that a limousine is a moving vehicle on the road and everyone in it must abide by all rules of the road. No hanging out of the sun roof or windows and definitely no AK47s. Also, bear in mind that your driver has a license that can be revoked if there is illegal activity going on in his limo while he is driving it.

He’s Just Doing His Job

Also bear in mind that it is not your private home, so if your driver is pulled over for any reason he can give the police permission to search the entire vehicle, including the back area that you are riding in. Another thing to think about is that if your driver has a mind to, he can call the police from his cell phone.

You Can Get Dumped if you Deserve it

Remember that you driver can pull over at any time and have you removed from the vehicle. He’s not obligated to return you to where he picked you up if you get out of line. He’s a driver not a slave and he’s running a business and don’t think that you are entitled to a refund if you get dumped for being an out of control jerk.
