Honda Accord Parts and the Brands Success in the US Market

Category: Cars - November 24, 2007

Capable of building over 14 million internal combustion engines annually, Honda is known as the largest engine manufacturer in the world. The company has been very competitive not only in the Japanese market but also in the American automotive industry. Being the company to offer the first Japanese branded vehicle manufactured in the United States, Honda made a mark in the U.S. car market with the production of the Accord in 1982. With the finest Honda Accord parts, this legendary model enjoyed an ample amount of success in the US when it became the best-selling Japanese car for 15 years–from 1982 to 1997.

The Honda Accord was supposed to be equipped with a V6 engine that came with a long hood and a sporty pretension. Since it was introduced during the fuel crisis of the 1970s, however, the original design that featured equally impressive Honda Accord parts accessories was scrapped for a more fuel efficient and low emission vehicle engine. Because of its Constant Volume Combustion Chamber (CVCC) technology, the Honda Accord enjoyed a significant recognition. The CVCC technology, applied in the assembly of specific Honda Accord parts into exhaust systems, impressively met the emission standards of the 1970s and early 1980s even without a catalytic converter.

It was the second generation of the Accord that gave worldwide acclaim to Honda. Packaged with further enhanced Honda Accord parts accessories, the car was offered in Europe and Australia; that signaled its debut in the global market. There was a number of notable modifications in the Honda Accord parts of the second generation. While the 1751 cc, 75 horsepower engine that employed CVCC technology was retained, the new car had the popular shag carpet, chrome accents as well as a velour cabin trim.

Just recently at the 2007 North American International Auto Show, Honda introduced the 2008 Accord Coupe concept. As evident in its predecessor 2005 Honda Accord hybrid, which won the Canadian Car of the Year Best New Alternative Power award, the brand just never rest on taking its quality always a notch higher.
